My house is a house of prayer
BIBLE STORY
****Luke 19:41****
When the city came into view, he wept over it. "If you had only recognized this day, and everything that was good for you! But now it's too late. In the days ahead your enemies are going to bring up their heavy artillery and surround you, pressing in from every side. They'll smash you and your babies on the pavement. Not one stone will be left intact. All this because you didn't recognize and welcome God's personal visit." Going into the Temple he began to throw out everyone who had set up shop, selling everything and anything. He said, "It's written in Scripture, My house is a house of prayer; You have turned it into a religious bazaar."

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Grace and Peace be with you Christ's Soldier!
Do you remember when we went to the fair here in my town. You ran, and played games, shot BB guns at targets, and played ring toss. We went to a fun house and to a spooky house, and you ran and ran all night. We had a lot of fun. That is the kind of thing you do at a carnivals.
Now when you go to church what do you do? Do you listen to Bible stories? Do you sing Church songs? Do you draw good pictures? Do you say prayers? Yes indeed. You probably do all those things. Those are the right kinds of things to do at church.
Now sometimes people get mixed up. Some want to do carnival things at church. Others want to do church things at a carnival. Jesus went to the temple when he got to town. He was very upset with some people. They were running a market there. They were selling things for too much money. They were cheating people on money deals. They were using God's house for the wrong things.
Do you know what Jesus did? He got very upset. He ran them off and told them, ""It's written in Scripture, My house is a house of prayer". Then he began to teach the people. He taught them good things in the house of the Lord.
I'll see you in a day or so. We will go to Church together and do what Jesus said. We will say prayers, one for the Order of Centurions and her members, and one for the family and friends. We will ask for the right kinds of things, so that it will please God. We may sing some songs too and read or hear some Bible stories. Until then may the Father, and the Son and the Holy Ghost bless you, your family, and your friends!
