Be friendly with everyone
BIBLE STORY
Romans 12:16
Be friendly with everyone. Don't be proud and feel that you are smarter than others. Make friends with ordinary people. Don't mistreat someone who has mistreated you. But try to earn the respect of others, and do your best to live at peace with everyone. Dear friends, don't try to get even. Let God take revenge. In the Scriptures the Lord says, "I am the one to take revenge and pay them back." 20The Scriptures also say, "If your enemies are hungry, give them something to eat. And if they are thirsty, give them something to drink. This will be the same as piling burning coals on their heads." Don't let evil defeat you, but defeat evil with good. Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Grace and Peace be with you Christ's Soldier!
Today we hear the words of Paul the Apostle. He wrote a letter to the Romans. He asked them to be friendly with everyone. He said they should always be kind. They should be good to people, even when the people were not good to them. He said that God would take care of the bad people in his own time. Instead of trying to get back at them, we should do all we can to try to make friends with them.
This good news from Paul is just as important today. When you go to school, try to be friends with everyone there. Treat them well. If somebody doesn't like you - if someone tries to hurt you, then just let a teacher know. The teacher carries the rule that God gives to rulers, to punish the wicked, and to reward the good. So be good, and make friends always, and you will have your reward on earth and in heaven.
So long, and may God bless you richly today and always.
