Jesus then led them out of the city over to Bethany. Raising his hands he blessed them, and while blessing them, took his leave, being carried up to heaven.
And they were on their knees, worshiping him. They returned to Jerusalem bursting with joy. They spent all their time in the Temple praising God. Yes.

LESSON
Grace and Peace be with you Christ's Soldiers!
Today is Ascension Day. Ascension means to go up. That is what Jesus did. He went up into heaven. It was 40 days after he rose from the grave on Easter Morning. Ascension is always on a Thursday.
I am glad Jesus is in heaven now. He is there as a real person. He is not just a spirit. He is sitting on his Father's right-hand side. That is the place of great honor. He is the King of Glory. He and rules in our hearts. He is our High Priest. He leads our Church. He is the Mighty Prophet of God. He told us all things that would be.
We can lift up our hearts to heaven. We can be with Jesus in a special way. He told us so, even though he is in heaven. One day, all Christians will be like Jesus too. They will get new and wonderful bodies like his. He will come back to earth and get them. He will lift them up to heaven. Do you want to ascend up to heaven? Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and do good!
May God bless you and keep your mind on heaven and Jesus.
